St. Eugene's School has an Extended Kindergarten Enrichment Program. This program gives parents the option of having a longer day for their child. The kindergartners go to school for three hours, have lunch for a half hour and then go to the extended kindergarten enrichment program for two hours. This program is an extension and enrichment of the kindergarten curriculum and is not daycare. The curricular focus is on language arts, phonics, math, social studies and art enrichment. The students are introduced to the Spanish language and participate in some cooking activities. We have a credentialed teacher and an instructional aide teaching the Kindergarten Enrichment Program. The program runs Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Our daycare is open after the extended kindergarten program ends as well as after Kindergarten on Wednesday and all day on Friday. |
