Sacramental Preparation

The second graders receive the Sacrament of First Reconciliation and First Communion. The First Communion program involves second grade students for approximately eight weeks, culminating in the reception of the sacrament. An obligatory parent meeting to explain the program is held prior to the formal beginning of the program. Special obligatory First Communion liturgies will be held at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday liturgy.

Twice a year the students in grades 2-8 are given the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The second grade students receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time during Advent.
